Pale Imitation
If you are a fan of the Underworld movie franchise then I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that a new trailer has hit the web. The bad news is that the trailer in question is a painful reminder that the person who made Underworld a cult hit is missing. Waaay back in February, I wrote about this injustice on my blog and asked the question if there was no Kate Beckinsale, what was the point?
As it turns out, quite a bit.
Viewing the trailer, I have to say the producers have turned Rona Mitra into a mirror image of Beckinsale’s Selene. Will it be enough to make Underworld: Rise of the Lycans a success? Given the way the series was going, it would have take a lot more than sexy vampires in rubber corsets to keep the series undead and kicking. Underworld Evolution was passable, but nowhere near as griping as the original. If you plop down the cash to see Rise of the Lycans in the theatre, just remember to squint a lot and with luck you’ll feel like you got your money’s worth.
