The End Is Nigh. Let’s Party!
Friday marks the series finale of Battlestar Galactica and what a run it’s been. Fans everywhere will be gathering to say goodbye to the Colonial fleet and the characters they love so much. Who will live and who will die is anyone’s guess, but there are some fun ways to ease the pain. Many fans (like me) will be hosting finale parties complete with BSG themed food, drinks & games.
Since science fiction fans are such a resourceful lot, it’s no surprise they’ve come up with some pretty creative ideas for their finale parties. Over at Dane101, they list a funny assortment of party foods and character-driven dietary tracks that’s worth checking out. Here are just some of the highlights. BSG Food & Drink:
• Col. Tigh Pie
• Kobol Cake
• LOTS of booze including six good drinks, one that doesn’t work out, and five that you throw together at the last minute from whatever you’ve got lying around.
Character Diets:
• Six: A steady diet of faith.
• Starbuck: Anything, but make sure you hide it from yourself and feel guilty about it. If caught, deny it, then punch your accuser.
• Romo Lamkin: Imaginary cat food.
