Nice job on the final post guys (I use the nongender "guys" here). I have to agree on the Kara storyline, so much potential, so little satisfaction. I was also intrigued by Baltar's final smirky little comment, "You know He doesn't like that name…", which begs the question, who is He?

And I do agree that BSG was ground-breaking television. It sustained four seasons of great storytelling, and THAT is what defines great sci-fi. Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein, Card, they all have/had it. Which leads to my beef with the Sci-Fi channel in general. With a couple of exceptions, they produce LAME-ass sci-fi. It should be the Stupid Monster channel. They SHOULD change their frakking name to something equally lame (SyFy???) as they don't deserve the name sci-fi.

I guess they call the city Caprica City in the same spirit ppl call Kansas City that. for a stellar civilization, a planet is not THAT big, when compared to the whole size of the colonies. so yeah, I guess it makes a bit of sense.

Moses gathered the twelve tribes of Israel, lead them through the wilderness, and delivered them to the promised land. Moses died just outside the promised land without ever entering the final destination.

Laura Roslin gathered the twelve colonies, lead them through the galaxy, and delivered them to the new world. Roslin died in the raptor before ever entering her and Adama's true final destination.
