Who is @scificast?
Thanks for clicking our Twitter profile! Wondering what the deal is? Keep reading.
You’ve found http://thescificast.com. Born from a conversation that took place on Twitter, The Sci-Fi Cast podcast is a casual conversation between three geeky friends discussing the week’s science fiction news, events and detailed, sci-fi specific topics.
Getting Started
If this is your first visit, start with episode 47. It’s our “primer episode.” Ged, Jen and Dave talk about the show’s history, what listeners can expect as well as who they are. It’s definitely the place to start. After that, check out some of our most popular episodes:
• Episode 50 – Our 50th episode extravaganza! We play “The Geek to Beat,” a Jeopardy-style sci-fi trivia game. Definitely an episode you shouldn’t miss.
• Episode 42 – The gang laments the state of sci-fi on TV.
• Episode 28 – The Toasties! We don our formal wear and deliver awards like “sexiest cylon” and “best episode” to Battlestar Galactica (warning: spoilers abound).
• Episode 22.5 - A fun filled show where we pick our most over and underrated sci-fi movies.
• Episode 8 – A special “Star Wars Prequel Gripes” episode! 47 minutes of Ep I-III rants!
• Episode 15 – Jen, Ged & Dave discuss sci-fi news, the new Enterprise & Dr. Who rumors.
• Episode 13.5 – A quickie episode that features Ged & Dave debating Kirk vs. Picard.
On the Blog
Besides the podcasts, you’ll find great regular features on the blog, like:
• “Reading The Twilight Zone,” in which we compare the (non-Serling) short stories that inspired episodes of The Twilight Zone to their corresponding teleplays.
• Micro Reviews feature a brief look at some of Star Trek’s best episodes.
If you already follow us on Twitter, thanks! Please “@scificast” us a hello anytime. Jen, Dave and Ged all take turns posting to the Twitter account. We’re friendly, but we tweet a lot. So, you have been warned!
